Harvey & Company initiated the management buyout of Spectrum Laboratory Network from a consortium of three regional hospitals. Spectrum Laboratory Network is a leading provider of clinical laboratory and disease screening services, supporting more than 7,000 physicians in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia. The divestiture enabled management to become significant equity holders in the company. The transaction, in partnership with a large global private equity fund, also provided the company and its management team a well-capitalized financial partner to help aggressively grow the business as they expand from a regional player to a national provider of hospital diagnostic laboratory services.
