Harvey & Company Initiates New Investment in Locally-Based Juice It Up! Franchise
Juice It Up! is a leading franchisor of smoothie, juice, and bowl bars with a strong presence across the Southwest and California markets. The company was founded in 1995 as one of the first owner-operators of fruit smoothie bars, began franchising in 1998, and has since introduced raw juice, Açaí and other bowl options.
Harvey & Company was retained by a family office to seek out new platform investment opportunities in partnership with a successful local executive. Harvey & Company had developed a relationship with the owner of Juice It Up! over numerous years and knew of his desire to plan a suitable exit in the near future. Given the family office’s regional focus, franchisor experience, and the ability of the local operating partner to enable a smooth transition for the owner, Harvey & Company was able to initiate the acquisition of Juice It Up! in partnership with the investment group in 2018. In addition to initiating the investment, the principals of Harvey & Company also made an equity investment alongside the family office investor in this transaction.
