Harvey & Company initiated and participated in the recapitalization of Colorado-based Checkers Industrial Safety Products, Inc. (“Checkers”). Checkers is a manufacturer and distributor of a variety of branded safety products including cable protection equipment, wheel chocks, and flagstaffs for the industrial, mining, aviation, military, construction, and entertainment markets. Checkers’ service professionals are trained to understand the safety issues in many industries so they can quickly help customers find the right safety products to meet their needs and bring their business into compliance. In addition to its domestic presence, the company also markets internationally to Europe, South America, Australia and the Middle East. Harvey & Company partnered with a Midwest private equity fund to structure an investment that provided significant liquidity to Checker’s CEO, while retaining a meaningful ongoing stake and additionally provided the resources that would allow him to continue to grow the business through organic and acquisitive growth initiatives.

Yellow Jacket provides Checkers with additional support in design and engineering and broadens Checkers’ manufacturing capabilities to accelerate product innovation and response time to their customers. Together, Checkers and Yellow Jacket are strategically positioned to provide customers around the globe with superior cable management and safety products across a variety of industries. Harvey & Company partnered with a Midwest private equity fund to structure an investment allowing full liquidity to Yellow Jacket’s owners.
