Harvey & Company initiated a recapitalization of Micro Precision Swiss, a precision contract manufacturer of implantable-grade components and instruments for the medical, dental, and orthopedic markets. The deal allowed the founder/CEO to take a significant distribution and to gain a well capitalized financial partner to help him continue to foster rapid growth. After the recapitalization, MPS went on to consummate two strategic acquisitions which doubled MPS’s revenues and tripled its earnings. In August 2007, MPS merged with Orchid Orthopedic Solutions, LLC to create Orchid MPS, LLC, a worldwide leader in contract design and manufacturing solutions for the orthopedic market. The founder of MPS continues to own a significant stake in the much larger company.
